Based on actual events,13 SUITS: A MOTHER’S MONOLOGUES is a documentary theatrical experience, initially crafted from a mother’s reflections after losing her son.

13 Suits wanted it be a single moment of life protectively held in the center of a tragedy. Memories of the protagonist Patrick live primarily between his apartment and his favorite bar. I wanted to create a space that could feel like the home of a single 23-30 year old man but also naturally blend into being a bar. This was done in small details from having a poster of his favorite city to having an empty pizza and beer boxes shoved behind the trashcan. I wanted this space that represented Patrick to float in the center of the accident that took his life, created a void of shattered black shapes to emulate broken glass that often occurs on the most fragile part of a car when it gets into an accident.
