Throbbin Wood is a queer adult panto based on the tale of Robbin Hood. The show is a musical comedy incorporating parody of modern pop such as  Chapel Roan and Sabrina Carpenter.

The directors vision for the show emphasized creating a more grounded fantasy leaning more aesthetically to Balders Gate than Monty Python. The overall goal was a  sapphic enchanted forrest that allowed the 9 person cast as much movement for dance as possible in the small black box venue. From these directorial needs I developed an immersive thrust space with the ring of the stage being Nottingham Forrest and the surrounding audience bays being the fair grounds where the famous archery tournament takes place. Central to the design was a hung geometric ring defining the stages space, representing the forest filled with greenery, flowers, and a twinkle of fairy lights.
